Season Seven #1-"Out of the Ashes" Still mourning the loss of Gus Pike, Felicity is dragged to a town meeting by a new friend, who tells everyone that Felicity will be on the committee to look at the Loyd home. They discover some run-away orphans are living there and Felicity with the help of Stuart, a young banker who is interested in Felicity, convince the town to open a foundling home. #2-"Love May Be Blind...But the Neighbors Ain't" Felix decides that it's time to take his friendship with Izzy to the next level, kissing. But Izzy is not ready. When being teased by his friends, Felix implies that he kissed her. It gets all over town that Izzy is a "Snuggler" and she is humiliated. Trying to make it up to her, he announces to all that he did not kiss her, which embarrases her further. Meanwhile Jasper has been offered and accepted a teaching job in England and Felicity accepts Stuart's proposal of marriage, though she still loves Gus. #3-"Davey and the Mermaid" Hetty refuses to let Davey go to a Traveling Midway that comes to town, but he goes anyway. He becomes infactuated with the mermaid, Melusina. When he goes back to see her, he discovers that they plan to cheat the town's citizens and finds himself in danger. #4-"Woman of Importance" The Pettibone family is in turmoil. Izzy feels leftout and thinks that Clive doesn't want her around and Morgan is dismissed fom military school and he doesn't want to go back. Izzy writes her Aunt a letter, inviting her to Avonlea. Lillian, running from troubles of her own, comes. Clive soon realizes that his children can make their own decisions and mends his relationship with Lillian. #5-"Secrets and Sacrifices" After over-hearing Abigail tell Janet that she has made too many sacrifices, Cecily tells Alec. Wanting to do something for her, Alec finds a clipping for a mother's reing and thinks Janet wants one. (What she wants is for Abigail to help her design a dress like the one on the other side of the clipping.) Because he doesn't know her ring size, Alec swipes her wedding ring to show the jeweler. Janet thinks she has lost it and goes to the same jeweler for a new one...needless to say, it's all quite entertaining! #6-"King of the Great White Way" A Broadway songwriter comes to stay at the White Sands hotel, for some relaxation...and because he has 'songwriter's block'. He hears Alec sing and tries to get him to come with them back to New York. #7-"Total Eclipse" Felix wants to become Simon's new assistant manager at the White Sands hotel, but he lacks experience. To prove to Mr. Tremayne that he can do it he over books the hotel so that he can 'take over' and have them all stay at his house. His parents happen to be out of town, and Cecily needs some financial help, as she accidentally burned a large sum of money meant for charity. Felix inlists Cecily's help, under the pretence that it was 'for her'. When Felix is over-booking the hotel, how does he know to answer the phone when it never actually rings? They didn't have red flashing lights in the buttons in those days! #8-"Ah...Sweet Mystery of Life" Simon and Hetty descide to get married, but didn't previously talk things through, like where they plan to live. Also, instead of making plans for the wedding, Hetty becomes preoccupied with keeping the Avonlea school open. They later cancel their plans when they realize that they are both too set in their ways to be happy with any changes. #9-"From Away" A couple of run-away orphans from England come to stay at the Foundling Home. When Davey tries to become friends, he is met with resistance. They do become friends, of a sort, but Brett and Ian only get him into trouble. When Davey learns that they are searching for their older brother, to live with him, he steals money from Hetty to help them out. #10-"After the Ball is Over" Against Janet's and Eliza's wishes, Abigail plans a big (boring) party to celebrate Eliza's 90th birthday. She invites Eliza's cousin Winnifred too. Eliza and Winnifred were bery close when they were younger, but also loved the same man. Eliza learns the secrets that Winnifred has been keeping all these years. #11-"Return to Me" When Felicity receives a mysterious phone call from South Carolina she puts off her wedding to Stuart to go in search of Gus. With Hetty to accompany her, she finally finds him. He has been blind since the ship went down, and refuses to let Felicity anywhere near him. It is up to her and Hetty to convince Gus to return to Avonlea. #12-"The Last Hurrah" Eulalie Bugle and Archie Gillis are in cohoots with Carmody to have Avonlea become part of Carmody. It's up to the King family to put a stop to it. Jasper returns to Avonlea, helps the cause, but is devastated when lightning strikes and the cannery is burned to the ground. Meanwhile, a young, poor, single mother who has been staying with the Dales, leaves her baby with them with a note to please keep her. They adopt little Alicia as their own. #13-"So Dear to My Heart" Everyone is shocked when Gus steps off the train in Avonlea, but not everyone is happy about it. After Felicity tells Stuart it's over, he leaves Avonlea for good. Gus tries a new opperation to restore his eyesight, but it appears to have failed (Though his eyesight may improve over time). Meanwhile Hetty is distraught with Jasper and Olivia's plans to move to England, as they can't afford to rebuild the cannery. She refuses to attend Felicity's wedding, until Felicity drags her there. A welcome surprise was seeing Sara attend the wedding! Specials "Happy Christmas Miss King" War has broken out and many of Avonlea's young men are among them, including Elbert and Felix. When Felix is listed as missing in action, Janet becomes distraught, and refuses any help in the war effort. Meanwhile, when Hetty bacomes very ill and requires surgery, she looks back at her relationships and rethinks her approaches to them. |
